Middlesbrough 3-0 Leeds: Boro striker Patrick Bamford hits hat-trick to down Paul Heckingbottom's side

Patrick Bamford's hat-trick was enough to lift Tony Pulis' Middlesbrough side in to the Championship play-off places on a cold Friday night in the north east.

The 24-year-old striker hit Leeds twice in a five minute spell towards the end of the first half before controversially completing his hat-trick from an offside position in the second half.

More disappointment for Leeds boss Paul Heckingbottom as he has now won just one of his opening five games in charge while Pulis and Boro rise up to sixth via goal difference.
