Former Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka has revealed Jose Mourinho was such a perfectionist he even changed the shoes his players wore to matches at Real Madrid.
Karanka moved into coaching in 2010 when he was appointed Mourinho's assistant at the Bernabeu.
He spent three years working as the Portuguese's No 2 and admitted he learnt a lot under his guidance before forging his own managerial career.
The Spaniard, who has been out of work since leaving Boro by mutual consent back in March, opened up on the purist Mourinho.
