Jordan Rhodes: Sheffield Wednesday wait on deal to sign Middlesbrough striker

Championship side Sheffield Wednesday will learn later on Wednesday if they completed the signing of Middlesbrough striker Jordan Rhodes in time.

The Owls agreed a £10m deal with the Premier League club but a meeting at the English Football League will determine if the deal can go through.

BBC Radio Sheffield understands that Wednesday filed their paperwork to sign the 26-year-old in time.

Rhodes has scored six goals in 24 league appearances for Boro.

However, the Scotland international, who moved to the Riverside from Blackburn for £9m in January 2016, has featured just six times this season and has failed to score.
