Hartlepool in jeopardy if club cannot raise £200,000 in next fortnight as Middlesbrough try to help neighbours

Hartlepool United are facing the threat of administration if they cannot raise around £200,000 within the next two weeks.

The non-League club was officially put up for sale before Christmas amid spiralling debts and now find themselves in a desperate situation.

Their supporters have issued an SOS by setting up a funding page while Middlesbrough fans are also looking to help their North East neighbours.
