Lasse Vigen Christensen's goal late in extra-time was enough to secure Fulham's route to the third round of the EFL Cup on Wednesday night.

Middlesbrough took the lead after eight minutes when David Nugent headed powerfully past goalkeeper Jesse Joronen.

Fulham were level shortly after half-time when Middlesbrough's Julien de Sart put past his own goalkeeper Brad Guzan.

And minutes before it looked as if the game would go to penalties, Christensen struck to send Fulham's fans into delirium.
