'Exasperated' EFL proposes calling in mediators to resolve stand-off between Derby's administrators, Wycombe and Middlesbrough with just 10 days until the Rams runs out of money as threat of oblivion looms

The EFL has proposed calling in independent mediators to try and resolve the stand-off between Derby County's administrators, Middlesbrough and Wycombe Wanderers that is imperilling the Rams' existence.

With just 10 days until the money at Derby runs out and the threat of the club being liquidated looming large, the EFL said it was 'exasperated' at the lack of progress towards a resolution that would save the club.

Wycombe and Middlesbrough have lodged separate claims against Derby.

Derby County are facing liquidation as their administrators search for the u00a35million of funding urgently needed to see them through until the end of the season

They say they were disadvantaged as a result of County breaching financial rules - in Wycombe's case, by being relegated to League One instead of Derby last season and in Middlesbrough's case, in missing out on a Championship play-off place to Derby in the 2018-19 season.
