Middlesbrough's lightweight goal-scoring form continued as they were forced to settle for a point against a mediocre Leicester City side. In a game lacking in any moments of real quality, neither side possessed the ability to take the initiative and bank lucrative Premier League points.
Perhaps hampered by a draining battle at Old Trafford less than 48 hours earlier, Boro put on a stodgy and tepid showing in the day's early kick-off.
Positives
Considering the lack of action in the final third, Middlesbrough's best performers were unsurprisingly to be found in defence. Calum Chambers turned in a very impressive showing at centre-back, having played on the right side in the last game, and tried to keep his team on the front foot throughout.
