Middlesbrough have agreed a £x million fee with Bristol City for unsettled Scotland international Tommy Conway.
The striker, 21, who had a year left on his contract, had made it clear he wanted out of Ashton Gate, turning down the offer of a new deal with the Robins.
Since returning from Scotland duty at the European Championships Conway had been training away from the first team with the U21s while his future was decided.
Boro, who have been tracking the forward, have now moved to secure Conway on a xxx year deal with boss Michael Carrick believing he could solve his side's problems in front of goal.
