Birmingham are poised to sign Middlesbrough utility man Emilio Nsue on a permanent deal.
The two clubs are in talks over a proposed move for the 27-year-old, who can play at right back or right wing.
The Blues hope to complete the switch in the next 48 hours.
Nsue player regularly for Aitor Karanka’s side last season, playing a key role in the club’s promotion into the Premier League.
But he's found first-team football hard to come by this season, making just five starts for Boro.
