Gareth Southgate is contemplating handing Middlesbrough defender Ben Gibson his first call-up to the England squad for their games against Scotland and Spain in November.
England's interim manager was at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday to see Boro beat Bournemouth and studied the 23-year-old centre-back, who has been scouted by Chelsea several times this season.
Southgate will announce his squad on November 6 as England prepare for their World Cup qualifier against Scotland and an international friendly with Spain.

Sam Allardyce, Southgate's predecessor, was considering calling left-footed Gibson up before he lost his job as Three Lions boss following an undercover newspaper sting.
