Adam Forshaw impresses as Payet brilliance denies Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough battled valiantly to gain a hard-fought point in a 1-1 draw against West Ham United in their first ever trip to the capital's London Stadium. Aitor Karanka's side took the lead when top scorer Cristhian Stuani's header from a Viktor Fischer corner was adjudged to have crossed the goal line before Mark Noble could clear his lines. Dimitri Payet cancelled out Boro's opener with his first goal of the season after a slaloming run saw the Frenchmen easily beat four Boro defenders before finding the bottom corner with a right-foot finish. Neither side really threatened to steal all three points as the stalemate suited Karanka's side more than the beleaguered Hammers boss Slaven Bilic.
