LA VERGNE -- Wilson Central and La Vergne hooked up in a non-region contest on Friday night, but it wasn't much of a game as the visiting Wildcats rolled to a 38-14 victory,
Wilson Central quarterback Aaron Hubbell threw for 174 yards, three touchdown passes and an interception, while also running in for a score.
"It was more of seeing what the defense would give, a lot of motion, moving around and trying to throw them off and establish the run game early, and it opened up the pass." Hubbell said.
On the opening drive, Hubbell drove the Wildcats 96 yards down the field on seven plays, before unloading a swing pass to an open receiver that went 31 yards to the end zone.
