HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Middle Tennessee broke open a close game with a sensational fourth-quarter run to blow past Southern Miss, 81-71, here Saturday afternoon.
Courtney Whitson had a banner day as she supplied a double-double with 26 points and 11 rebounds. Kseniya Malashka returned from a two-game absence due to health and safety protocols and supplied 19 points, keyed by a 9-of-11 effort from the free-throw line, and freshman center Anastasiia Boldyreva continued her impressive run with a career-high 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the field.
Dor Saar and Alexis Whittington each tallied nine points and four assists as the Lady Raiders (13-4, 5-2) secured the big road win.
