MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Lady Raider standout Courtney Whitson has been awarded $2,500 in tuition from the College Football Playoff (CFP) Foundation and Dr Pepper. Whitson is a junior at Middle Tennessee majoring in secondary education.
Whitson, who aspires to become a high school teacher and coach girls basketball, has been a mainstay for the Lady Raiders as she has started all 67 games of her collegiate career. The heralded forward is averaging 12.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per game this season. Whitson ranks third in the country in minutes per game with 38.
