LAFAYETTE, LA. – The Blue Raiders carded a final round 6-under-par 282 on Tuesday to finish eighth at the 40th Annual Louisiana Classics at Oakbourne Country Club. Redshirt junior Markus Varjun led Middle Tennessee in the individual standings with a 4-under-par 212 to finish tied for sixth.
LSU earned the team title with a 54-hole total of 19-under-par 845, while Texas A&M finish second at 17-under-par 847 and host institution Louisiana finished third at 5-under-par 859. The Blue Raiders finished in eighth place at 13-over-par 877.
Louisiana's Malan Potgieter and LSU's Alfons Bondesson claimed individual medalist honors with a 54-hole totals of 9-under-par 207, while Texas A&M's Phichaksn Maichon finished third at 7-under-par 209 and Texas A&M's Wheaton Ennis and Little Rock's Freddie Turnell finished tied for fourth at 5-under-par 211.
