UAB snaps Lady Raiders' five-game road win streak

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Middle Tennessee's five-game road winning streak was snapped in a 65-58 loss to UAB here Thursday.

The Lady Raiders (16-11, 8-6) played good enough defense, holding the Blazers below their season scoring average and limiting them to less than 40 percent shooting from the field overall, and just 23 percent from beyond 3-point range.

Middle Tennessee's problem was mustering enough offense to secure the road win against UAB (22-4, 11-2), which moved into a tie with WKU for the top spot in C-USA.

Alex Johnson led Middle Tennessee with 17 points and posted five rebounds.
