MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – School records continued to fall Friday at the Mt. SAC Relays, as Agnes Abu, Kigen Chemadi and Geoffry Cheruiyot led the charge on day two of the meet.
Abu led a 2, 3 finish for the Blue Raiders in the women's 800-meter run. The senior clocked a time of 2:02.70 and shattered the previous school record of 2:04.97. Teammate Abike Egbeniyi took bronze and set a personal-best mark of 2:03.96.
Abu's and Egbeniyi's times currently Nos. 2 and 4 in the country, respectively.
On the men's side, Chemadi took gold in his section of the men's 5000-meter run and set a new school-best mark of 13:56.
