MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee (2-0-0) looked impressive with a 4-0 win in their first official home match against Austin Peay (0-1-1). Junior forward Maddi Falter led the way with two goals, while Peyton DePriest and Hannah Tillett each had one of their own.
The first half seemed to be tightly contested throughout with both teams failing to find the back of the net. However, the Blue Raiders outshot the Governors 12-5 in the half and maintained most of the possession.
The second half was all Middle Tennessee. The Blue Raiders dominated possession time and continued to put pressure on the Austin Peay keeper.
