DALLAS – Conference USA announced its 2018 Players of the Year on Wednesday, as selected by the league's 14 head football coaches, and Middle Tennessee's Brent Stockstill was given the top honor.
The left-handed redshirt senior quarterback was named the recipient of the C-USA Most Valuable Player Award, the first Blue Raider to win the honor in C-USA.
Stockstill has led Middle Tennessee to an 8-5 record this season and the school's first berth in the C-USA Championship Game. He's MT's first Player of the Year since Jamari Lattimore won Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Year in 2010 and the second Raider to be named overall Player of the Year, joining Wes Counts in 2001.
