MURFREESBORO – Middle Tennessee head football coach Rick Stockstill announced today two transfers into the program who will be eligible immediately. The Blue Raiders welcome Houston Baptist safety Tra Fluellen and Gardner-Webb receiver Izaiah Gathings.
Fluellen (6-2, 207) comes to the Blue Raiders after competing two years for the Huskies. In 2019, Fluellen earned HERO Sports Freshman All-America First Team honors and was a finalist for the Jerry Rice Award, given to the top freshman in the FCS. He was third on the team in tackles with 101 while also adding two interceptions and three fumble recoveries.
