DALLAS - Middle Tennessee's Owen Stamper has been named the Blenders Eyewear Conference USA Player of the Week for the third time this season, as announced by the conference Wednesday morning. The junior from Scottsville, Ky., picked up his first career tournament victory at the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate.
Stamper shot a career-low 205 (-11) with rounds of 69-69-67 for his third top-two finish of the season. His 18 birdies were the most among the 96-player field.
The weekly award ties Stamper with Marcus Byrd's 2018-19 performance for the most such honors in a season.
