Siegel's Jedlicki wins TSSAA state bowling title

SMYRNA -- Siegel sophomore Danielle Jedlicki gave Rutherford County its first high school state championship of 2017 Friday morning by winning the TSSAA girls state bowling title at the Smyrna Bowling Center.

Jedlicki bowled a 245 in the final match to defeat Blackman freshman Baileigh Snow (201) in the championship match. She also defeated Hardin County's Ashley Channel (200-178) en route to the finals.

"I knew I wanted to win it, but I knew it was going to be difficult with the tough competition," said Jedlicki, who finished runner-up as a freshman last year. "I knew with Ashley being a senior it was going to be tough.
