SMYRNA -- Rockvale Middle School easily defeated Rock Springs Middle school 28-0 Tuesday night at Smyrna High School.
The Ravens and the Knights both got off to a slow start in the first quarter with no points being scored. Both defenses created stops. A fumble recovery by Andre Turrentine for Rockvale led to a touchdown in the second quarter.
Jelani Lyles came up with a key sack on the Knights quarterback, and Rockvale would drive 67 yards to eventually convert a second down into a 16-yard touchdown by CJ Johnson to make the score 8-0 after Turrentine converted on the 2-point conversion.
