MURFREESBORO, Tenn.---Middle Tennessee standout Francisco Rocha is the recipient of the Elite 90 award for the 2021 NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championship.
Rocha, majoring in Economics and Business Administration, currently carries a 4.0 GPA. Rocha was presented with the award during practice on Friday morning in Orlando at the NCAA Championships.
Rocha becomes the first student-athlete in Middle Tennessee history to win the Elite 90 award in any sport since the NCAA started the award in 2010.
The Elite 90, an award founded by the NCAA, recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the national championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers.
