Riverdale senior point guard Anastasia Hayes was named as one of 720 nominees nationally and one of seven in the area to compete in the annual McDonald's All-American game.
Hayes, who play collegiately at Tennessee, helped lead the Lady Warriors to the TSSAA state title last year, and they're currently ranked No. 1 in the state at 13-0.
McDonald's will name the final roster of 24 boys and 24 girls who will be selected to play in the 2017 Games during the McDonald's All American Games Selection Show on ESPNU, airing Sunday at 9:30 p.m.
The following area players, including Hayes, were nominated: Riley Casey, Franklin Road Academy; Dorie Harrison, Hillsboro; DeAndre Bradshaw, Russellville High School, Russellville, Ky.
