Riverdale's girls punched their ticket to the TSSAA State Tournament last Saturday by knocking off Cumberland County 76-56 in an actioned-packed Sectional game at home.
This game saw two players go over 2,000 career points when Lady Warriors junior point guard Anastasia Hayes reached the mark in the third quarter and the Lady Jets guard Mackenzie Iles got to it early in the fourth.
The game got off to a quick start, with Riverdale sophomore forward Brinae Alexander scoring on a layup and converting a free throw attempt to make it a 3-0 lead for the Lady Warriors.
