Riverdale's Lady Warriors got to hear the roar of the crowd one final time in celebration of their TSSAA Class AAA state championship.
Riverdale High School was awarded the Army National Guard national ranking trophy on Wednesday as part of the 11th annual MaxPreps Tour of champions.
The MaxPreps Tour of Champions honors just 10 programs out of 14,000 across the country for their achievements, and Riverdale was recognized for being a state champion and the nation's 17th-ranked team in the final poll.
The Lady Warriors and coach Randy Coffman received the trophy at a rowdy school pep rally at Johnny Parsley Memorial Gymnasium.
