MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee men's basketball ended Thursday night on a 10-0 run, helping them blast their way past UTEP 84-72 in the Murphy Center with five Blue Raiders in double figures.
MTSU (14-9, 7-5 C-USA) led nearly the entire night against the Miners (11-11, 4-7 C-USA), with both teams trading a plethora of buckets throughout the evening. UTEP made a late 7-0 run after scoring six points off of MTSU turnovers to cut MTSU's lead to just two points with 3:17 to play. Camryn Weston knocked down both of his free throws out of the timeout to build the lead back to four, and MTSU made their final four field goals of the night while holding UTEP scoreless to ice the game.
