NASHVILLE, Tenn. – On the first day of the Music City Challenge, the Blue Raiders broke a two-year old Middle Tennessee record in the women's distance medley relay at the Vanderbilt Multipurpose Facility Friday night.
In the 4,000 meter distance medley relay, the team of Josphine Kiptebeny, Susan Aneno, Rhema Cheruiyot and Agnes Abu raced to first in 11:37.10, breaking the time of 12:00.89 set by Autumn Gipson, Rachel Islam, Barbara Vilson and Jackline Kirpono in 2014.
In the women's high jump, Qetuwrah Abdullah-Muhammad tied her career-best height and placed third after clearing 1.
