Murfreesboro, Tenn.- The Middle Tennessee softball team looks to bounce back after losing a close game against Maine on Thursday. The Raiders (15-15, C-USA 1-2) will play their first home conference series of the season against FIU (18-12, C-USA 0-3) on Saturday.
Early in the season, Middle Tennessee sits one game ahead of FIU in the East division of C-USA. FIU is led by their pitching, as a staff the Cougars have struck out 161 batters, walk only 59, and have allowed an opponent batting average of .221.
The Raiders are leading C-USA in hits with 228 and are led by Summer Burgess with 35 this season.
