CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Blue Raiders (17-30, 10-14) struggled offensively on their way to a 0-5 defeat on a misty and cloudy Sunday afternoon against Charlotte (18-27-1, 9-14-1).
Josh Young got his first start in C-USA play and was able to hold the 49ers to just one run in the first three innings. Both Carter Bair and Grant Williams combined for the middle three innings, while Scheldon Paulk collected the final six out.
Charlotte broke a scoreless tie in the third inning with an RBI hit to score a run.
