HUNTINGTON, W.V. — Plenty is stacked up against Middle Tennessee heading into its matchup Saturday with Marshall, but if recent history is a precursor to anything, the Blue Raiders shouldn't be counted out just yet.
The Thundering Herd (6-0, 3-0) haven't lost this season and are ranked No. 16 in the country by the Associated Press. They're also one of the best teams in the nation at home, and Saturday will be the 50th anniversary of the tragic plane crash that killed 36 members of the football team, nine members of the coaching staff, 25 boosters and five members of the air crew.
