Q & A with former MTSU quarterback Wes Counts

Related Topics: Growing

Wes Counts grew up an MTSU fan and fulfilled the dream of playing for the Blue Raiders upon graduating from Oakland High School.

Counts, who played at MTSU from 1998-2001, exited the program as its all-time leading passer with 8,007 yards. He also helped lead MTSU to its first Sun Belt title in 2001 and was part of the program's first Division I-A team.

Both of Counts' parents worked at MTSU and he was constantly hanging around the football team as a child, even on the sidelines during games.

Counts, who serves as a color analyst for the Blue Raider network, was recently elected to the six-member 2017 Blue Raider Hall of Fame class.
