Brentz played 25 games this year in the popular and competitive Boston Red Sox outfield, amassing a .279 batting average, including his first career MLB home run against the Texas Rangers Jun. 26. His stint in the majors this season was Brentz' longest in his career, dating back to 2014 when he made his MLB debut and nine appearances in a Boston uniform.
