MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — The urgency with which MTSU football practiced this week on the fields outside and inside of Johnny "Red" Floyd Stadium was apparent to anyone walking by. One would hope that would be the case after a "humbling" 44-7 loss, as defensive end Jordan Ferguson put it, last week to James Madison.
One would also assume that was the case on the practice fields in Fort Collins, Co., where Colorado State is licking their wounds from a 51-7 drubbing at the hands of then No. 8 Michigan in Rams' head coach Jay Norvell's debut at the helm of CSU after taking over from the fired Steve Addazio this offseason.
