MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee senior guard has been named the Ann Meyers Drysdale National Player of the Week by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA).
Petty, who was named C-USA Player of the Week Monday, became the first player from the conference to earn the national honor this season. Petty was also named Tennessee Sports Writers Player of the Week Tuesday.
"It is quite an honor to be named National Player of the Week because there are some really outstanding players across the country, and is one of them," Middle Tennessee Head Coach said.
