Perkins leads the Blue Raiders with seventh place finish at the Schenkel Invitational

STATESBORO, Ga. – The Blue Raiders carded a final round 3-over-par 291 on Sunday to finish eighth at the 45th Annual Schenkel Invitational at Forest Heights Country Club. Junior Luke Perkins led Middle Tennessee in the individual standings with a 4-under-par 212 to finish tied for seventh.

Utah earned the team title with a 54-hole total of 22-under-par 842, while Florida finished second at 21-under-par 843, and host institution Georgia Southern finished third at 16-under-par 848. The Blue Raiders finished in eighth place at 8-over-par 872.

Florida's Luke Poulter claimed individual medalist honors with a 54-hole total of 8-under-par 208, while the Gators' Ian Gilligan finished second at 7-under-par 209 and Notre Dame's Jacob Modleski and Georgia Southern's Parker Claxton finished tied for third at 6-under-par 210.
