MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Virginia graduate transfer Shakyna Payne has signed a National Letter of Intent with Middle Tennessee and will have one year of eligibility remaining, Lady Raider Head Coach Rick Insell has announced.
Payne, a 6-foot-3 forward, appeared in 42 career games at Virginia and her best season was in 2018-19 when she scored 89 percent of her career points and pulled 86 percent of her career rebounds. She will be eligible for the 2019-20 campaign.
"Shakyna is very athletic and a great rebounder," Insell said. "She has a tremendous basketball IQ, and we are excited to have her at Middle Tennessee.
