MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – While much of the sports world is still ramping back up, golf kept on going for Blue Raider Tanner Owens as he is set to compete in the prestigious U.S. Amateur Championship for the second time in his career.
While the field is typically made up of various exemptions and top finishers from sectional qualifiers across the nation, rules were modified this year to complete the field based on the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
This model gave Owens, currently ranked No. 341 in the WAGR, an opportunity to join the field at the 120th U.
