LEESBURG, Fla. — Sunday morning's doubleheader between Middle Tennessee and New Mexico State has been canceled due to overnight rain, The Spring Games officials determined early Sunday morning.
The cancelation comes one day after a morning thunderstorm pushed back the intended start time of MT's game on Saturday against Pittsburgh. By mid-morning on Saturday, The Spring Games staff rearranged the weekend's schedule so that MT would play Pitt and Liberty on Saturday, followed by a doubleheader with New Mexico State on Sunday.
When bad field conditions caused the contest vs. Pitt to be pushed back, the game was then canceled due to Pitt's travel plans.
