NASHVILLE – Middle Tennessee's Asher O'Hara was named the Tennessee Sports Writers Association Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
O'Hara became the first quarterback in school history to throw for 300 yards and rush for 100 yards in a contest in the Blue Raiders' 45-26 win over Tennessee State. The redshirt sophomore completed 22-of-30 passes for 367 yards and four touchdowns while carrying 11 times for 103 yards.
O'Hara's passing and rushing totals were all career bests and he is just the fourth quarterback in school history to top the 100-yard rushing mark in a game.
