Fourth time was the charm for Oakland High on Thursday as they beat Blackman for the first time this season to win the Region 4 championship on Thursday night at Blackman.
The Patriots (23-7) demonstrated both patience and power in the 51-39 victory.
Oakland's Tre Jones followed up on his 21-point performance from Tuesday night with a game-high 22 points.
He also drew a key momentum-changing charging call about halfway through the third quarter just after the Blaze had pulled to within five.
"After three losses we really wanted to come out strong against them," Jones said.
