MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee women's basketball made a statement to start Conference USA play over the weekend, suffocating the teams picked second and third in the CUSA preseason poll in two dominant wins over FIU and Liberty.
The Blue Raiders, with the win over the Flames on Saturday, won their 31st consecutive game against Conference USA opponents, a record for a single program in the league. The previous high was 30 straight wins, set by Rice from 2018-2020.
