MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The No. 71-ranked Middle Tennessee women's tennis team took down Austin Peay 6-1 on Friday.
Middle Tennessee secured the doubles point to start the match. Alessia Truden and Rutuja Chaphalkar defeated Austin Peay's No. 50-ranked duo of Luca Bohlen and Pauline Bruns 6-3 on court two, improving their record to 8-1 this season. The Governors evened doubles play with a 6-4 win on court three, sending the deciding match to a tiebreaker on court one. Eloise Swarbrick and Lena Peyer clinched the doubles point for the Blue Raiders with a 7-6 (6) victory, marking the team's fifth straight doubles point dating back to Feb.
