MTSU's women broke open a tight game in the fourth quarter by outscoring Louisiana Tech 27-15 down the stretch for a 79-65 victory in Ruston, Louisiana, on Saturday.
Senior point guard Ty Petty Led the way with 26 points, five assists and just one turnover, while sophomore forward Alex Johnson had 23 points and five rebounds. Petty made 12 of 14 free throws, while Johnson made all seven of her attempts.
The Lady Raiders improved to 12-8 overall and 7-2 in Conference USA play, while Louisiana Tech, which had won three straight, fell to 10-10 and 5-4.
