The MTSU men's basketball team held off Auburn in overtime, 88-81, at Bridgestone Arena on Saturday afternoon.
The Blue Raiders improved to 6-3, while Auburn fell to 4-2.
Junior forward Reggie Upshaw turned in a double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Blue Raiders. Giddy Potts had 18 points, and Ed Simpson hit four 3-pointers and tallied 13 points. Darnell Harris had 13 points and nine rebounds, and Perrin Buford netted 12 points and six boards.
"I told our team after the game that was one of the best college basketball games I've been a part of," said MTSU coach Kermit Davis.
