MURFREESBORO, Tenn.—Middle Tennessee was looking to harness some of the magic from its upset over in-state foe Vanderbilt from last season on Sunday at home to close out non-conference play, but that wasn't to be as the Commodores beat the Blue Raiders 4-0.
MTSU was able to outshoot Vanderbilt in the first half three shots to two, however, both Vanderbilt shots resulted in goals by Raegan Kelley, who scored in the 12' and 38'. The Commodores would eventually tack on two more in the second half and also finished their non-conference schedule having allowed just one goal by securing the shutout.
