LYNCHBURG, Va. — Middle Tennessee volleyball fell to Liberty by a score of 1-3 in the second match of the two-match series. The Blue Raiders won the first set but could not maintain the momentum. The scores of the sets were as follows: 25-21, 22-25, 19-25 and 23-25.
The Blue Raiders (9-13, 5-5) hit .214 on the match, their lowest total in their last four matches. When hitting below .250, Middle Tennessee volleyball holds a record of 1-11. The Liberty Flames (11-9, 5-3) finished the match with a .259 hitting percentage. 11 of the 13 losses for the Blue Raiders have come when totaling a lower hitting percentage than the opposition.
