Lynchburg, Va. — Middle Tennessee baseball falls to Liberty in game one of the three game set, 3-13 in eight innings.
Middle Tennessee (15-14) didn't generate as much offense as they are used to against the Flames (20-11). It was until the seventh inning when and led off the frame with singles, which was followed by fourth homer of the year to avoid the shutout.
Liberty got to MTSU's starter Will Jenkins early by putting up four runs on four hits. The redshirt senior went back out for the second inning where he left them scoreless, however in the third and fourth they would strike again putting up nine runs in the first four innings.
