MTSU baseball drops first two to ODU

MTSU's AJ Spencer and Old Dominion's Adam Bainbridge entered into a strong pitcher's duel but neither was around for the decision at Reese Smith Jr. Field Saturday.

In the end, ODU rallied for two runs in the 12th inning to secure a 5-3 win and take the series.

Spencer was solid in his six innings of work. He scattered four hits and allowed three runs, two earned. Spencer struck out a career-high six in the no-decision. Bainbridge also settled for a no-decision despite taking a 3-1 lead into the eighth. The lefty allowed three runs, none earned, in 7-1/3 innings.
